Fairbury exceeds expectations
Congratulations to the Fairbury Nucleus team, the first team to farrow 92% of gilts entered into the farm for a quarter. The farm will actually hit 96% for the quarter with 162 gilts farrowed in the 13 week quarter. Another major accomplishment for the Fairbury team is that they are now the new leaders among all the nucleus farms for overall conception rates. These two milestones are a reflection of the team’s dedication in learning and understanding of what is expected. Again, great job Fairbury!
Finisher Team continues to impress
"JOB WELL DONE" again goes to the Bartlett Foods Finisher Team for another week of near perfect market loads to Tyson. The Finisher Team has consistently selected markets within our target weights of 270 lbs - 320 lbs. All of our finisher teams have been challenged to hit our "target window" and it is great to see that they are responding to this challenge. Again, thank you to everyone for their continuing efforts to get the most out of our market animals.
Positive internship results in new leadership
Andrew, a Southeast Community College student, has successfully completed his internship at Double D Farms. Thank you to Tim, who provided the leadership and training of Andrew at Double D Farms in the reproductive and gilt development phases. With Andrew's passion for the growing and finishing phases of our business, we are excited to announce that he has accepted a full-time position with PST working with Dusty at the Ackman Fitzsimmons finishing sites.
