PST is dedicated to raising a high-quality, ideal protein source and a safe food product for consumers in an environmentally friendly and humane manner. PST teammates are also consumers who have families sharing the same environment, therefore, PST implements environmentally sound management practices and adapts to changing technologies in order to remain a conscientious producer and a good neighbor.
Many of the management practices used today are designed to protect swine health, improve meat quality and to conserve the environment. For example, during the last 20 years, most producers, like PST, began raising pigs inside barns to better manage the animals' environment and health on a daily basis.
